I'm thinking to introduce a new way to share/upload Badge NFC actions to a web resource. As alternative to the already available system to store data on online database, I'm studying the possibility to instantly upload Badge NFC Action to a custom Google SpreadSheet. In this way you could setup your own speadsheet and share it with every people you want or access this data from your Google account every time and from every place. Are you interested in getting this feature available on PRO version any time soon?? Please leave your suggestions here!
How about an action=SMS*########## to send a text message where the custom=messagecontent ? While I'm interested in the google s\sheet idea my app won't always be connected thus I'd rather pass the content to the messaging system and let it automatically send it when connection is reestablished.
Other option is action=URL which points to google s\sheet and custom=various parameters to pass into the s\sheet.

If you need to send a custom SMS , you can simply use the NFC Task launcher app, which has a really complete messaging section ...

Yes, Google online database or something similar really is essential. When I upgraded to Online Database I kinda assumed that's what it referred to.
The advantage of an online database is to allow others to see it too, but the database you're currently providing on your site isn't the place where I'd like people to see it.
Personally I would be looking to have the database on Google Docs and then use something like zapier (http://zpr.io/PUzf) to notify me by text or publish it on a wordpress. That kind of interopability is really important for this product.
Really looking forward to next release. Will be prototyping this in July with colleagues, you think you might have a release by then?
I'm looking at your app with the idea that I can get my team of staff to use it- not just for clocking in/out, but also for Fire Logs.
At the moment they test each emergency light and then have to note it manually, I want to put an NFC tag that they can swipe and it records the test as done. But I need to input the data in to a database with my own headers for each tag.
Google docs is ok, but some form of Opensource database would be better...

Hi Bas,
thanks for appreciating Badge NFC ... the option you are requesting is already there! In the Save dialog page you can select the option "Group by day" ... this will calculate daily total time as difference between IN and OUT actions ... enjoy!

Hi! If there is a feature that i miss is the chance to edit missing entries.
Let me be more clear. My sg4 takes that second about to read a tag, until the 4 notes jingle is over. So if i'm late or about right happens that i miss the tag and then the flow gets screwed. You know ins and outs continuing in the wrong order. Its true that i can tag again to fix that on exit, but if there would be a way (based on time frames?) to change simply an in in an out later if either 1: is morning and beginning with an out is not gonna happen 2:wont need to make timestamp field editable? My boss let me use badgenfc since you can "sign in" with a tag that he can keep on sight and timestamps are not editable... It would be really the last thing i would need. Going back to topic, what about adding autosave and autoexport to *google drive/dropbox* instead of a google spreadsheet? I guess its equal (you can open the exported xls in google doc)and more. One has no more dangling .xls files in the phone (cant you add sd support/custom folder for export?)
well, enough complaining, i bought the license even if i dont use the pro features because i like it!

Hi Lenneth,
thanks for your comment and sorry for late reply.
I don't know if I well understood your point, but there are already some options that probably can help you:
- one is "auto delete double entry", which deletes your previous action when the new action is executed less then 30 seconds after the first one (so if you notice you are starting the day with an "out" action you can immediately tap your nfc tag again and substitute your previous action with a new "in" action)
- you also can edit your actions using the edit button on the details action page. In this way you can edit your actions for example replacing"in" with "out" (but you can't edit timestamps!). If you prefer, you can also select the option "automatically open details" so that, every time you tap the tag, you are immediately on the edit page.
About the dropbox/drive sync I'll evaluate it. I was thinking on a Google spreadsheet because I wanted to allow multiple users to load actions on the same database/spreadsheet, in the same way my app already works with the online database (in the pro version).
Thanks!

*facepalms*
That big grey pencil hasn't stabbed me.
I feel super duper dumb.
My apologies for bringing up a non existent problem!
Thank you for everything!
The ability to merge different users data into a single spreadsheet indeed looks pieces of cake for managing a small company. I saw yet some scripting capable to merge different spreadsheets into a single one.
As for me, i woke up enough to realize that i could self fix moving and syncing the local spreadsheets with another app i had, so im pretty satisfied as is.
Thank you again for your kindness, and keep going, Badge nfc is part of my everyday equipment, and helps a lot ^^

Good!
Glad to have helped you! :)
The online database was thought exactly to manage small company or group to track in/out actions ...
Any news on when the online database option will be live, I love the app but need to be able to register employees name against each NFC tag we are having a smartphone on each site where they will log in. i need to be able to access all the data via my office.

I would be interested in figuring out a way to use NFC assigned to an employee and have it populate columns in the row assigned to the employee for time keeping
